We don’t price big jobs blind over the phone — we need to see the car — but we’ll listen to what you’re hearing, say if it sounds urgent, and get you booked in. If something’s missing from the cards, call and ask.

Pads, discs, fluid, handbrake — we tell you what’s worn and what’s still safe, instead of changing everything by default.

Steering & suspension

Knocks, tyre scrub, or wandering steering — traced to the part that’s actually gone, not a shopping list of parts.

Tyre services

Fitting, balance, punctures where repairable, pressures — including the spare when we can get at it.

Oil & fluids

Oil and filter to spec, plus a look at coolant and other levels while the bonnet’s up.

Engine diagnostics

Codes are a hint, not a verdict — we pair the scanner with under-bonnet checks before we recommend parts.

Air & cabin filters

Replaced when dirty or due — not automatically every visit unless your mileage says so.

Battery & electrics

Slow starts or odd electrics — battery and charging tested before we sell you a new unit.

Bodywork & trim

Bumps, cracked trim, mirror housings — tidied up sensibly for the age of the car.

Blowing sections, mounts, lambda issues — repair where it’s worth it, replace where it isn’t.

Gearbox & transmission

Manual or auto — noises, slips, leaks assessed properly before major strip-down.

Wheel alignment

Tracking after suspension work or if the car pulls — saves tyres and steadies the drive.

Pre-NCT check

Lights, brakes, tyres, and the usual suspects — so you’re not booking a retest for something small.

NCT preparation

Pre-NCT: worth doing before your date

Retests cost time and money — and many failures are lights, tyres, brakes, or suspension items you’d spot with a trained eye beforehand.

Our pre-NCT check walks through the sorts of items testers flag most often. You leave with a clear list: must-fix before the test, should-fix soon, and monitor.
